The dictionary meaning of Tawba توبة is "repentance," but the meaning understood here is "the turning of the heart [to God or Truth]," the very first maqâm and the beginning of any spiritual path.
"Repentance is the signpost on the path, the leader of the kingdom, the key to the treasure, the intermediary that assists you to become united with God, the condition for being accepted to the divine presence, and the secret of all happiness."There is great humility and sincerity that goes with this concept, which is why I envisioned it in pale, transparent tones of blue and silver, which unfortunately don't photograph well.
