A friend wanted a piece for her TaijiQuan studio. She left it to me to pick an appropriate word, and what came to mind what Sukun سكون, meaning "stillness", the central purpose of this Chinese art.
I knew I wanted the dot of the ن to be the heart of the composition, and searched along those lines while sketching for the design:

| Colors completed, shot in daylight so they're more faithful. Pearl mica is mixed into the paint so the colors can look very dark or very bright depending on the light, a dramatic effect. |
